    Description
EXPLORERS CLIMATE CHANGE SUPERHEROES MODULE MODULE 6: Learning about the Impacts of Climate Change on Ocean Animals & Habitats Presentation provides an introduction to some of the ocean species and their habitats that are affected by climate change around the world. This module can be used for thematic learning projects and supports the delivery of subjects, including STEM, natural and social sciences, geography, history, languages, and arts. The students are introduced to animals and habitats from the icy waters in the North Pole through the temperate and tropical waters to the Southern Pole in Antarctica. From the microscopic phytoplankton to giant whales and polar bears to penguins, puffins, corals, turtles and sharks, the children will learn how some animals are adapting to the changes in the ocean and some animals are struggling as the impacts of climate change are threatening their habitats. Learning about the effects of climate change worldwide – including many animals and their habitats – further highlights the importance of preparing for challenges together. Developing empathy for many species suffering from climate change also enables children to take positive actions that help drive solutions at a community and global level.

EXPLORERS CLIMATE CHANGE SUPERHEROES MODULE 8: Learning about Climate Action & Super Solutions presentation recaps on what it means to be a climate superhero, aka a climate-literate person. It allows children to examine some of governments' actions and solutions worldwide. Developing their competencies and skills, children are encouraged to discover what is happening in their local communities and what we can do at home and in our schools to help reduce carbon emissions.
