Description

The Explorers Ocean Literacy, Engagement & Impact Report 2023 highlights the Marine Institute Explorers Education Programme activities. Notably, among many of its highlights included the work of the outreach team working with children and supporting teachers applying the Primary School Curriculum Framework (2023) while introducing marine themes to the curriculum. Winning the ‘Best Education Outreach Award in Ireland’, presented by Business and Irish Times, also was a significant example of being recognised for its excellence in promoting ocean literacy at the primary school level. Other highlights also included teachers training, workshops, new educational resources developed for teaching, as well as our significant contribution to events and media.
