Abstract
This presentation aims to apply learning scientific concepts related to energy and forces. It introduces children to Ocean Energy Resources - The Power of the Future activities, where they will create a wall chart and timeline showing the use of non-renewable and renewable energy resources.
Description
This presentation introduces children to scientific concepts related to energy and forces. The children will use their communication & language skills to learn new words and develop a glossary and a wall of Energy Words. They will also create a timeline showing the use of non-renewable and renewable energy resources.  Students will get to explore: What is Energy? What are the different FORMS of energy – Potential and Kinetic Energy? What are the types of POTENTIAL ENERGY – Mechanical, Nuclear, Gravitational, Chemical? What are the kinds of KINETIC ENERGY – Sound, Heat, Light, Electric? What is Energy Conversion? The children will be encouraged to create a wall chart with Renewable Ocean Energy New Words and a timeline.
