Description
EXPLORERS CLIMATE CHANGE SUPERHEROES MODULE 7: Learning about Ocean Science Observations & Climate Change PowerPoint presentation introduces the many different types of marine scientists and the equipment they use to learn about the ocean. The presentation can be used to deliver subjects including STEM, natural and social sciences, geography, history, languages, and arts. Because the ocean and seas have a massive influence on the Earth’s climate system and climate change, children get to investigate how the ocean and climate change are being researched by experts worldwide from the past to the present. The presentation shows that it takes many different types of people with different skills and expertise to observe and understand the ocean and climate change. Children are introduced to different kinds of technology and equipment that scientists use as part of their ocean observations, including satellites, research vessels, data buoys, ARGO fleet, CTDs, CYTOBOTS, forecast models, and lots more.
